General:

Small regional airport (main airport for southern Scotland is Glasgow)

Appearance:

Low level squat buildings with a slightly warn 1960's look to them though the inside looks smart and tidy.

Inbound

Domestic
Arrivals hall is very plain and not much to speak about. Small airport so quick to get thorough.

International
Not used

Domestic flight so no immigration

The baggage reclaim for domestic flights is in the main terminal building next to the cafe's near check-in!

Regular and fast express bus service from the outside of the terminal runs into the centre of Edinburgh, finishing at the main railway station.

Outbound

Domestic
Check in area is very plain and spacious but even so queues were getting mixed up with each other. A small JD Wetherspoons bar (also selling tea/coffee) is in the departure lounge. Couple of shops.

Small cafe/restaurant on the land-side. Once you are through to air-side there is a JD Wetherspoons pub that sells some food along with tea coffee.

Small number of shops in the land-side part of the airport. Once you are air-side there is a small run of shops (usual offenders a Dixons, WH Smiths etc.)

The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
