General:

Modern and new looking international airport.

Appearance:

The outside of the building still looks as though it's only just had its protective wrapping pealed off. Inside the layout is a bit cramped and confusing but well signed.

Again, gates a long way from the main building but this does have the advantage that your luggage arrives about the same time that you do.

Flew domestic so no need to go through immigration

Basic area, for domestic flights. Because of the distance from the gates to the baggage reclaim hall the baggage is already coming round by the time you arrive.

Flew domestic so did not experience customs

Regular express bus service from the airport to the city centre. Buses also run to the nearest railway station where you can pick up trains into the centre of Glasgow, though the bus is as quick, cheaper and easier.

Outbound

Domestic
Main drawback of the airport is that the walk from check in to the gate is quite long (took me nearly 10 minutes). Though, there are lots of shops and cafe's in the area.

International
Not used.

Several cafes and bars on the land-side and lots more once you are through to air-side.

Small selection of restaurants on the land-side of the airport and quite a few in a food court on the air-side of the airport

A large number of shops on the land-side of the airport. Once through into air-side there are possibly even more retail outlets.

The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
