General:

Main airport for the country

Appearance:

Airport appeared to be in the process of being upgraded, but at the time was cramped, stuffy and very humid

Inbound

Domestic
I have not arrived on a domestic flight at this airport

International
There are no air-bridges so it's buses to the terminal building which drop you right by immigration, then it's a short walk to the baggage reclaim hall and then through a small customs hall into the arrivals hall

Immigration has several desks, which were all staffed and operating very efficiently when I arrived

The baggage hall is of a reasonable size, with quite a bit of space (and at the time of visiting a leaking roof)

The poorly designed customs area has multiple entrances into the same space, but the entrance dictates whether you are going through the blue, green or red channel

Regular shuttle buses link the airport to the bus station in the city centre

Outbound

Domestic
After clearing security the domestic gates are immediately in front of you. The area is quite small, and very stuffy and humid

International
From security you pass through passport control and then go up, over a bridge and back down into the departures hall in a neighbouring building

A small café/bar in international departures, nothing in domestic

A small café/bar in international departures, nothing in domestic

None

A large tax free shop that you are forced to walk round to get into international departures. Nothing in domestic

Toilets were clean
