Description
The bookshop and bookbinding workshop of Michael Johnson, whose first son - Samuel - went on to become one of Regency England's biggest celebrities. Writer of the first useful English Dictionary, Poet, Wordsmith and regular on the dinner scene. The house above the shop is where Samuel was born. The museum houses a small display on the life of Dr Johnson, as well as an original 2 volume copy of his Dictionary.
